Polyethylene and its types

Sponges made of polyethylene foam are used in countless types of industry. PE foam is also known as polyethylene foam, celpolyethylene or Plastazote.

In PE sponges, there are cross-linked, non-cross-linked and extruded types (PE-E). Moreover, there are PE foams according to EN 71 guidelines that are used in food production because they do not have harmful properties for that application. In our company’s offer, you can get flame-resistant, electro-conductive, antistatic and PE foams of different hardness. We process this type of raw material in rolls and blocks. It is one of the best alternatives for EPDM rubber.

Application and properties

PE sponges are particularly suitable for sealing and insulation. They are also resistant to many chemicals/solvents and have good resistance to UV and ozone.

Most common areas of use

PE sponge foam is used in automotive, construction industry, industrial, medical and orthopedic technology, electronics and to many others sectors.
